The iOS 7 App Switcher experience seems to leave so much canvas space unused. Fortunately, a new free jailbreak tweak called FullSwitch
by iOS developer xTheMaster3x is now available that will make the App Switcher experience full-screen rather than just wasting canvas space.
Shown above, FullSwitch lets you swipe left and right between applications in your App Switcher that you have in the background or suspended in the device's memory. Moving between applications is buttery smooth and instantaneous. Two arrows are added to the interface to actively remind you that you're in the App Switcher and not actually in the application itself.
When you tap on one of the preview cards, you are brought to that application. You can also swipe up on any of the preview cards to close that particular application, but an additional feature is included that allows you to swipe up on the Home Screen preview card to bring up the following options:
You get the options to close all running applications, respring the device, reboot the device, or exit the interface.
When you go into the Settings application, you will find a preferences pane for FullSwitch where you can configure a number of options:
The first option it enabling or disabling the tweak on demand, which requires a respring each time you change the setting for it to take effect. You can also enable or disable the multitasking indicator arrows, and choose where on the display that they appear (the top is the default, but you can also pick bottom or middle). Indicator animations can be enabled or disabled, as well as the options that come up when you swipe up on the Home Screen preview card. Further down, you will find a privacy option that can blur application preview cards for your privacy.
FullSwitch is not compatible with Auxo 2, so you will need to choose between the two. If you have Auxo 2 installed, it will be uninstalled when you attempt to install FullSwitch. The tweak is also only for iPhone and iPod touch and does not run on the iPad.
FullSwitch is fully themable, and the developer includes a guide for how to theme the tweak here
If you would like to give FullSwitch a try on your jailbroken iOS 7 device, then you will find it right now in Cydia's BigBoss repository for free.
Note: If you were having an issue with the tweak's preferences pane not loading, please update to version 1.0-6!
