'Data Logo Switcher' Lets You Display the Data Logo You Want in the Status Bar
Whether you have an iOS device with 3G connectivity capabilities or 4G connectivity capabilities, you can now choose what data logo appears in your Status Bar no matter which radio you might be connected to.
A new free jailbreak tweak called Data Logo Switcher by iOS developer Hiarku
is available in Cydia that will let you select the data logo that appears in your Status Bar when you're connected to a 3G network, or a 4G network.
If you're connected to a 3G network on a device such as an iPhone 4, this tweak will allow you to display a "4G" or an "LTE" symbol instead of a 3G indicator. On the other hand, if you're using a device capable of 4G or LTE connectivity, such as an iPhone 4s or later, then you can choose whether a 4G logo or an LTE logo appears in the Status Bar.
You configure these options from the preferences pane, which is added to the Settings application, as shown above. Each time you make changes, you will need to apply your changes and respring your device – luckily, an apply and respring button is included in the preferences pane for your convenience.
It makes a good spoofing tweak to tease your friends into thinking that you're on a network that you're really not on, so for the most part, it's just an entertainment tweak. It won't give your legacy iPhone any 4G functionality or anything of that sort.
If you'd like to give it a try, it's available for free right now in Cydia's BigBoss repository for free. The tweak requires iOS 7 to be installed.
