  • 'BounceNotify' Makes Dock App Icons Bounce When You Have Notifications

With a new free jailbreak tweak called BounceNotify by iOS developer nin9tyfour, you can make your iOS application dock icons bounce like they would in Mac OS X when you receive a notification. The icon(s) will bounce repeatedly until you acknowledge the notification.

The tweak only works for application icons in the dock. Applications on your Home Screen that have pending notifications will not bounce like your dock application icons will.

You can view a video demonstration of how the tweak works below:

BounceNotify adds a preferences pane to the Settings application where you can configure a few individual options:

The first option you will find is the ability to enable or disable the tweak on demand. You'll also find yourself with the ability to configure the bounce interval to be the way you like it, as well as configure how bouncy the animation will be. The default for each is 5.

If you'd like to give BounceNotify a try, it's avialable for free right now in Cydia's BigBoss repository.
