  • Streaming of Coldplay’s Upcoming ‘Ghost Stories’ Album Free on iTunes Radio First Play

iTunes Radio had become one of the best sources for unreleased albums by big artists and recently, the service has added yet another high-profile artist. You can now stream Coldplay’s entire new album, Ghost Stories ahead of its highly anticipated release on May 19th, on iTunes via the First Play feature. Some big named artists that were streamed on iTunes Radio in the past included Pharrell, Eminem, Rick Ross, and The Black Keys. Other music streaming services like Spotify and Rdio are competitors, however, none of which offer early streaming like iTunes Radio.

Ghost Stories can be streamed on your computer or iOS device by opening iTunes, then going to iTunes Radio, and clicking the “First Play- Ghost Stories’” pre made station. If doing this does not work, go to the actual iTunes Store, then click on the Coldplay banner and look for the First Play button.

Coldplay and Apple have had a strong bond for several years now, and most recently with the band performing at Apple’s iTunes SXSW festival. The band also performed at Steve Jobs memorial with frontman Chris Martin talking about the several encounters they have had with Jobs. Coldplay’s album is set to be released next week on May 19th and can be pre-ordered for $9.99 for the 9-track album. Instant downloads of singles “Midnight”, “Magic”, and Avicii-produced “A Sky Full of Stars” will come with the pre-order purchase. The band will also be performing a live-special on NBC this upcoming Sunday, May 18th.
