Just a few days ago, we showed you a new jailbreak tweak called SafariBlur
by iOS developer switchpwn; the tweak allowed you to have your Mobile Safari preview card in the iOS 7 App Switcher blurred so that when you open the App Switcher, no one would be able to see any open tabs you have open in the Web browser.
Since the tweak only worked for Mobile Safari, you had to be using Apple's own built-in browser for the tweak to work, bt fortunately, switchpwn has just released a new free jailbreak tweak called BrowserBlur
that blurs the application preview card of all Web browser applications, and not just Mobile Safari.
You can see in the screenshot example above that not only is Mobile Safari blurred, but so is Google Chrome for iOS.
Since the blur is nice and heavy, if you open your App Switcher, you won't be able to see any of the contents of the Web page that you have open from the App Switcher's application preview cards. The blur is much more dense than the blur made by a previous jailbreak tweak called SwitcherBlur
, and it only affects your Web browsers, so you can still enjoy the application preview cards of all the rest of your applications.
BrowserBlur doesn't come with any options to configure, and it requires iOS 7 to be installed. If you want to give BrowserBlur a try, it's available for free right now in Cydia's BigBoss repository.
