Maybe you're already happy with the way iOS 7's power down slider looks, and maybe you're not. If you're not, then there is a new jailbreak tweak available in Cydia right now called BetterPowerDown
by iOS developer CoolStar.
As shown above, BetterPowerDown lets you choose between changing your iOS 7 power down slider theme to one of two options – a theme that resembles the power down slider in iOS 7.1, or a theme that resembles the power down slider in iOS 6. For obvious reasons, most people will probably choose the iOS 7.1 option, but those using multiple tweaks and themes to make their iOS 7 device resemble iOS 6, the iOS 6 power down slider theme might be a cool option.
It's worth noting that BetterPowerDown does more than just change the aesthetics of your power down slider. In addition, it includes functionality from a free jailbreak tweak called RePower
by HASHBANG Productions that we showed you back in the middle of January. What this means is that you can have not only a power down slider, but also a reboot slider and a respring slider, as shown below:
BetterPowerDown adds a preferences pane to the Settings application where you can configure a number of options:
Here, you can enable or disable the tweak on demand, pick between using the iOS 7.1 or iOS 6 theme, enable or disable RePower, and use the respring button to save any changes you make to the tweak's preferences pane.
If you have no care in the world what your power down slider looks like, then this probably isn't the tweak for you. On the other hand, if you like the idea of being able to make your power down slider(s) look like those in iOS 7.1 or iOS 6, then this is the tweak for you. If you'd like to give it a try, it's available right now in Cydia's BigBoss repository for just 99¢. The tweak does require iOS 7 to be installed.
