  • Apple Reportedly Testing iOS 7.1.1 With Bug Fixes

Apple just recently released iOS 7.1, which is currently the latest version of iOS and is not publicly jailbroken at this point in time. Although iOS 7.1 squashed a ton of bugs that were present in the iOS 7 operating system, that's not to say that there aren't more to fix.

Apple is allegedly already in the works of testing an update to the existing iOS 7.1 firmware dubbed iOS 7.1.1, as 9to5Mac reports; the update is showing to be running on multiple devices according to data collected from Web traffic.

iOS 7.1.1 is expected to be a minor update that includes only some necessary bug fixes, and not necessarily any new features or major improvements. When released, users will have the option of updating OTA (Over the Air), or via iTunes with a sync cable.

Apple is also expected to unveil iOS 8 some time this Summer, as per their usual patterns. iOS 8 is expected to still look like iOS 7 for the most part, but some new applications like Healthbook, Preview, and TextEdit may be included, as well as a number of new features that have yet to be announced.

If and when this software update for iOS is released, we will be sure to keep you in the loop, so stay turned!

We'll I'm still JB but I hope for the people have updated to 7.1, that Apple put back the full pic caller screen. I know a lot of people complaining on Apple support forums about that feature. Hopefully Apple listened!

I hope it fixes how the "slide to unlock" text changes to black after you get a phone call and doesn't ever change back unless you power the phone off.

All of the X.1/2/3.4.5.6 updates are to patch exploits and 'scare' people into updating. They really hate their operating system being hacked because they claim it is uncrackable, like other Apple stuff. There might have been a few legit updates over the years, but for the most part it's just bs
