  • Randomly Selected Developers Begin to Receive their WWDC 2014 Tickets

Emails were sent out to developers recently who participated in this year’s WWDC 2014 ticket lottery. The email notified those accepted that tickets will be saved until April 14th. Apple announced last week that a lottery for developers who wanted to attend the Worldwide Developers Conference in June were held by the company. Notifications that were selected at random were sent out by Apple around 8pm EST and Developers that were accepted have one week to purchase their tickets.

Apple is granting 200 scholarships to give student coders a chance to participate in this years WWDC along with regular admission tickets. In addition, scholarship promotion of female engineers and coders will be helped by the National Center for Women and Information Technology and its partners.

Events being held at this year’s WWDC include an expected debut of Apple’s next generation iOS, a possible preview of OS X 10.10, and 100+ technical sessions by Apple engineers. Apple Design Awards for the iPad, iPhone and Mac apps will also be held.

The 2014 WWDC will kick off on June 2 and will be streamed live via the WWDC website. Limited videos and technical sessions will be available to view online for registered developers throughout the week.
