'NoBannerDismiss' Prevents Banners From Auto-dismissing When Multitasking and More
Have you ever found yourself in one of those annoying situations where you get a banner notification just at the same time that you close the application you're in or try to open another application? As soon as you close the application that you're in, or try to make the transition to another application, that notification banner dismisses automatically and you didn't even get a chance to look at it before it went "poof."
A new free jailbreak tweak called NoBannerDismiss
by iOS developer Bensge prevents this issue and ensures that the banner notification stays on the display for the default timed amount even when you make the switch to another application so that you can at least see a preview of the notification even when changing between applications.
It will prevent the automatic dismissal of your incoming notification banners, no matter what application it's coming from, whenever you open an application from the Home Screen, close an application that you were just in, or when you use the App Switcher to switch to a different application.
NoBannerDismiss doesn't have any options to configure – it will take effect immediately after installing it from Cydia.
The tweak is handy for those small events where a notification comes in at the same time that you're trying to switch between applications. It's available for free right now in Cydia's BigBoss repository if you would like to give it a try, and notably, it's an open-source jailbreak tweak – its source code can be viewed here
