'Slumber' Improves the Music Sleep Timer in the iOS Clock App
iOS comes with a feature in the Clock application that lets you set a timer for music to stop playing. With this feature, if you're playing music from the Music application that comes pre-installed on your iOS device, you can set a timer, and when the timer goes off, the music still stop playing, which is perfect for listening to music to fall asleep.
Unfortunately, Apple only supports their Music application with this feature, so you can't use it with third-party music applications like Pandora, Spotify, and other music-streaming applications. Fortunately, those that jailbreak their devices can install a new free jailbreak tweak called Slumber
by iOS developer Adam N. Smith.
Slumber will make it so that if you're listening to music with a third-party music application like Pandora or Spotify to fall alseep, you can set a timer with the iOS Clock application that will shut off the music from those third-party music applications when the timer goes off.
This tweak is perfect for those that don't use Apple's Music application and want a way to fall asleep to their music without worrying about their device playing music all night long.
The tweak adds a preferences pane to the Settings application where you can easily enable or disable the tweak on demand:
If you would like to grab Slumber, it's available for free in Cydia's BigBoss repository. It requires iOS 7 to be installed.
