'Location Sentry' Puts A Location Mark in the App Switcher Above Location-using Apps
Spicing up that App Switcher in iOS 7 with a additional functionality, animations, and features may have to wait until April 2nd
, but in the mean time, you can still add small features to the App Switcher that make it more elegant.
One such example is a new free jailbreak tweak called Location Sentry
by iOS developer Ryan Hileman. This tweak, as shown above, puts a location service indicator above the application preview cards of applications that use your location. Applications that don't use your location won't show a location service indicator above the preview cards.
This is a handy way of seeing exactly what applications that you have running are using your location at a particular point in time.
Location Sentry does require iOS 7, as it was coded with the iOS 7 App Switcher in mind, and it doesn't have any options to configure. If you would like to give it a try, you will find it for free in Cydia's BigBoss repository.
