  • 'Colendar' Lets You Configure the Appearance of Your Calendar App Icon

With a new jailbreak tweak called Colendar by iOS developer Julian Weiss, you can configure the aesthetics of your Calendar application icon to match any themes or wallpapers you might have.

The tweak adds a preferences pane to the Settings application where you can configure the various options and aesthetics:

Here, you can enable or disable the tweak on demand, choose a custom color for the weekday text, choose a custom color for the date text, and then apply your changes by using the "Apply Changes" button to respring. The colors you have to choose from include:

    • Baby blue
    • Beige
    • Blue
    • Brown
    • Charcoal
    • Cream
    • Gold
    • Gray
    • Green
    • Light blue
    • Light green
    • Maroon
    • Navy
    • Neon blue
    • Neon green
    • Neon orange
    • Neon pink
    • Neon Purple
    • Neon red
    • Neon yellow
    • Orange
    • Pink
    • Purple
    • Red
    • Silver
    • Turquoise
    • White
    • Yellow

Each of the colors have a handy little preview to the left of the names so you don't have to guess at what color you're picking. Under the "Advanced" section in the main preferences pane, you will find a shortcut to WinterBoard for making changes to your themes, as well as an "Adjustments" cell that brings you to the following options:

From here, you'll be able to use sliders to adjust the X and Y surplus of the Weekday, the X and Y surplus of the Date, the font size, and more.

Whether you're using Colendar to just change the color of the text in your Calendar application icon, or you want to do something more advanced with your themes, it might be worth checking out. The developer notes that more updates will be coming with additional features, but he doesn't say what kinds. Colendar works with both the stock Calendar application icon, or with the Gregorian application icon. Colendar only works with iOS 7 and runs on both 32-bit and 64-bit iOS devices.

If you would like to give it a try, it's available right now in Cydia's BigBoss repository for $1.99.
