  • 'CalmCall' Calms Down the Eye-jarring Neon Green Color of the iOS 7 Resume Call Bar

One of the features of iOS 7 that's not so pleasant is the resume call banner. It's the green banner that appears at the top of the display whenever you leave the Phone or FaceTime application while in the middle of a phone call or a FaceTime call. You can tap on it to return to the application you're in a call in.

The problem with it is that Apple used such a bright neon green that it's really hard to read the bright white text in the banner. A new free jailbreak tweak called CalmCall by iOS developer Julian Weiss is now available that will help darken the green used in the banner to make reading the text in the banner easier, as shown above.

Not only does it make it easier to read the text in the banner, but it's less of an eyesore to look at. The tweak doesn't change the functionality of the banner, just the color.

CalmCall doesn't have any options to configure and requires iOS 7 to be installed. If you would like to give it a try, it's available for free right now in Cydia's BigBoss repository. CalmCall is an open source project and its source code can be viewed on Github here.
