'ControlUndim' Makes Setting Your Screen Brightness Easier While Control Center is Open
If you ever use Control Center to quickly adjust the display brightness, then you might be annoyed by the fact that while Control Center is open, the elements behind Control Center become darker, so you get an unrealistic look at what the screen is going to look like in terms of brightness once you close Control Center.
A new free jailbreak tweak called ControlUndim
by iOS development team HASHBANG Productions is now available in Cydia that aims to help fix this problem.
With the tweak installed, the second you lay your finger on the brightness slider in Control Center, the darkening effect behind Control Center will go away and Control Center will become more transparent so you can actually see what's going on behind the Control Center interface. Once you adjust the screen brightness to your liking, and remove your finger from the display, Control Center returns to normal.
The point of this tweak is to give you a more realistic preview of what your display brightness is going to look like when you have Control Center open. It doesn't functionally change the way to change your screen brightness, it just makes it easier to see the changes you're making.
If you would like to give ControlUndim a try, it's available for free in Cydia's BigBoss repository right now. The tweak requires iOS 7 to be installed. There are no options to configure – just install and use.
