  • '#PlayMe' Puts Simple Now Playing Song Information in the Status Bar

For those of you that listen to a lot of music on your iOS devices and want a subtle way of seeing what you're listening to from anywhere, check out a new free jailbreak tweak called #PlayMe by iOS developer MrTheGeek.

With #PlayMe installed, your Status Bar's time will slowly change between showing the time, showing the artist of the song playing, and showing the name of the song that is currently playing, as shown above. The changing text happens every second or so, and it's a very clean way of keeping you informed on what's playing. You can see the text change from anywhere you can see your Status Bar.

#PlayMe is compatible with Apple's Music application, as well as many third-party music applications, including:

    • YouTube
    • Deezer
    • Pandora
    • Grooveshark
    • Spotify
    • Safari
    • Chrome
    • and more

If you would like to give #PlayMe a try, it's available for free right now in Cydia's BigBoss repository. The tweak has no options to configure and is fully compatible with iOS 7.
