'PowerBanners' Lets You Change Power Alerts to Banner Notifications on iOS 7
When your battery starts getting really low (20% or 10%), iOS will display an alert message right in the middle of your screen that will get in the way of any games you might be playing, or any interface you might be typing in.
Rather than display those pesky and obtrusive alert notifications, you can change them to unobtrusive banner notifications with a new free jailbreak tweak called PowerBanners
by iOS developer Josh Doctors, as shown above.
With the tweak installed, both the 20% and 10% battery warning alerts will display as banner notifications instead of alerts, making it easy to continue with what you're doing while still being notified that your battery is running low.
The developer notes that be made this tweak because the popular LowPowerBanner
jailbreak tweak hasn't yet been updated with support for iOS 7. He also notes that the effects that are available in the LowPowerBanner tweak will soon be coming to the PowerBanners tweak in a future update.
PowerBanners adds a preferences pane to the Settings application where you can configure a few options:
You will be able to enable or disable the tweak on demand, as well as have the device vibrate when you receive a power notification banner, and you can even have the tweak notify you when your device resprings.
If you want to give PowerBanner a try, it's available for free in Cydia's BigBoss repository. PowerBanner is compatiblr with both 32-bit and 64-bit iOS 7 devices.
