If you have ever had the desire of colorizing your volume HUD (heads-up display), then a new free jailbreak tweak called vColor by iOS developer Javier Brito is now available in Cydia that will let you do just that, as shown above.
The tweak works for both the ringer volume and the media volume HUDs. It adds a volume level number to the HUD so you can see the actual volume amount, and then it also lets you change the color of the background of the HUD, change the color of the depletion bar in the volume HUD, and even configure the volume level number color.
After installing vColor, you will find a new preferences pane in the Settings application where you can configure the appearance of your volume HUD to your liking:
Here, you will find a cell for changing the background color of the HUD, a cell for changing the color of the depletion bar, and a cell for changing the color of the volume level number. The colors you have to choose from for each include:
All and any changes that you make take effect immediately and don't require a respring to be applied.
If you want to give vColor a try, it's available for free right now in Cydia's BigBoss repository. The tweak works with both 32-bit and 64-bit iOS 7 devices.
