'AnyNote' Lets You Quickly Save Memos to Yourself From Anywhere
If you ever find yourself in a position where you could use a place to quickly jot something down without having to find your Notes application on the Home Screen, then check out a new free jailbreak tweak called AnyNote
by iOS developer Sassoty.
With this tweak installed, you can use an Activator gesture to bring up the interface above. You can tap inside of the white note box to write yourself something that you don't want to forget, and then you can tap on the "Done Editing" button to bring up the "Save" and "Exit" buttons. Saving the note will save it to this interface, while tapping exit without saving will delete any changes to the note that you haven't saved.
Notably, just like NCNotes
, this tweak does not save what you type to the Notes application. The notes that you type in are saved to the jailbreak tweak itself.
The tweak adds a preferences pane to the Settings application where you can enable or disable the tweak on demand. You can also visit the Activator preferences pane to choose an Activator gesture that will be used to hide or show the AnyNote interface:
The tweak doesn't come without its shortcomings. Although you can easily bring this interface up from anywhere using Activator, it doesn't have the most aesthetically pleasant interface that we've ever seen, and it's also limited to the tewak itself. We would really like to see the tweak be able to save notes to the Notes application, as this would be a nice shortcut for people that don't have Siri-enabled devices.
AnyNote is compatible with both iOS 6 and iOS 7 devices. If you want to give it a try, it's available for free in Cydia's BigBoss repository right now.
