TPK Believed to Enter iWatch Supply Chain
Reports out of Taiwan at this hour indicate that TPK is on board to help Apple produce it's rumored forthcoming smartwatch.
The touch panel maker is said to have officially entered the supply chain for iWatch in recent weeks, furthering speculation that the still-rumored Apple product could manifest sometime during 2014, likely before the year-end holiday shopping rush.
Strangely enough, we may know more about TPK's involvement later this month. According to DigiTimes, TPK doesn't reveal its customer orders but the company will announce its outlook for 2014 before the end of February. Any larger-than-normal activity is a sure-sign that the company may have struck a deal with Apple.
The same report notes that iWatch will likely deliver a flexible AMOLED display, 3D protective glass, and silver nanowire touch screen technology developed by, you guessed it, TPK (along with Nissha Printing of Japan).
