  • This Year's iTunes Festival Taking Place in U.S. at SXSW 2014

Apple is delighting its domestic fans today by announcing Wednesday morning that this year's iTunes Festival will take place in the United States.

While the festival has become a staple of the United Kingdom, the free concerts - which have been known to serve up a bevy of top-caliber music superstar performers - will take place this year at the annual SXSW conference in the State of Texas.

Apple's iTunes Festival at SXSW will feature Coldplay, Imagine Dragons, Pitbull, Keith Urban, and ZEDD, with more names expected.

All five nights of the iTunes Festival will be available to enjoy for free as a live and on-demand stream via the iTunes Store on your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Mac or PC. Performances can also be seen in the iTunes Festival app on your iOS device or with Apple TV in stunning HD.
“The iTunes Festival in London has become an incredible way for Apple to share its love of music with our customers,” says Eddy Cue, Apple’s senior vice president of Internet Software and Services. “We're excited about the incredible lineup of artists performing and SXSW is the perfect place to debut the first iTunes Festival in the US.”

The first U.S. iTunes Festival spans March 11th-15th in Austin, Texas at SXSW 2014.

That's awesome! Makes sense since they also are building in Austin. Might have to make my way down there for this!

...on second thought, the traffic is so horrendous in Austin that it's not worth the headache!!! Nvrmnd

Pitbull, most UNORIGINAL music ever! Fncker just "raps" over other people's music, and he doesn't even bother just sampling music, he takes the whole song unchanged.

I was at the Formula 1 US Grand Prix last year, and Pitbull had a free concert after the race, I didn't bother staying for that, I rather deal with fighting traffic.

      Now ZEDD, hell yeah!!
