'AutoPause' Automatically Pauses Playing Music When Turning the Volume All the Way Down
When you turn your volume on your iOS device all the way down while playing music, which is instinctively what we do when we hear something through our headphones and want to hear what's going on, your music continues to play even though you can't hear it.
A new free jailbreak tweak dubbed AutoPause
by iOS developer rud0lf77 is now available in Cydia's ModMyi repository that will automatically pause any playing music whenever you turn your volume all the way down.
Since you are probably turning the volume all the way down either to be able to hear the noises in the background while your headphones are in, or because you don't want any noises coming from your device while you're in class or at work, having the music automatically pause for you can be a useful feature.
If you're in the music application while you turn the volume back up again, the music will begin playing again automatically. But notably, if you're not in the music application when you turn the volume back up, the music will not begin playing again automatically. Another thing to keep in mind is that the tweak only works with the hardware volume buttons. If you're using any kind of software to adjust the volume, this tweak won't recognize it.
AutoPause doesn't have any options to configure, and it's pretty easy to understand right from the get-go. If you want to give it a try, it's available for free right now in Cydia's ModMyi repository, and is also open source on Github here
