  • Steve Jobs Sends Letter of Support to all Apple Employees in Japan

Steve Jobs has reportedly sent out an e-mail of support to all Apple employees in Japan following the 9.0 earthquake that hit there last Friday. In his e-mail, Steve offered to help all who "have been touched by this tragedy." The founder of Digg, Kevin Rose, recently posted an e-mail he received detailing how Apple has gone to great lengths offering aid and assistance to all employees and their families in there time of need.

    Steve Jobs writes:

    To Our Team in Japan,

We have all been following the unfolding disaster in Japan. Our hearts go out to you and your families, as well as all of your countrymen who have been touched by this tragedy.

If you need time or resources to visit or care for your families, please see HR and we will help you. If you are aware of any supplies that are needed, please also tell HR and we will do what we can to arrange delivery.

Again, our hearts go out to you during this unimaginable crisis.

    Please stay safe.

Steve and the entire Executive Team
Last Sunday, Apple also began taking donations via iTunes for the American Red Cross to help the victims of the earthquake and tsunami. Because Apple lets users make donations through iTunes with a simple mouse click, this lets people make a quick donation that will help victims in Japan. Donations can also be made through American Red Cross website as well.

I'm not surprised. This is what you can do for your employees, when you actually save money from profits, rather than blowing it on retarded buyouts (GM.)

Good job Apple, you're proving to be a proper example in more ways than design.

Yes that $1 yearly salary that he has taken for many years now, that will go a long way to help...

Facts are your friends people, not your enemies.

The main thing to do is not give opinion over what other people are doing or should do, but actually spare a though for those affected in Japan and do something yourself... However little, it helps!
