  • Shipping Estimates for Apple's New Mac Pro Slip to April 2014

Tuesday morning, shipping estimates for Apple's newest Mac Pro powerhouse computer started slipping to April 2014 for several countries according to Apple's online store Web site. Shipping in the United States, also, slipped to April 2014 shortly after.

The April 2014 shipping estimates apply to both the basic configurations of the Mac Pro (quad-core and 6-core CPU), as well as customized configurations that users can select on Apple's Web site prior to purchasing. The quad-core Mac Pro starts at $2,999 and configurations go up in price from there.

Demand for the new Mac Pro has been quite high, mostly from enterprise and professionals, but some individual users that just want the raw power of the new Mac Pro have also been hopping on board for Apple's new machine.

It's unknown when Apple will be able to catch up with demand, but if you want one, you should get your order in before shipping estimates get pushed even further. The new Mac Pro is made in the U.S.A.

Totally overpriced PC Clone. Mac Pro Sales will be disappointing and Apple will be punished by the market adoption rate for this overpriced niche market PC Clone.

Primary sales of the Mac Pro will definitely be limited to units purchased using someone else's money such as in the business environment. Many users of Macs feel ripped off by Apple's latest offering and won't touch it, let alone purchase it.

keep trololing. troll hard. I like how you say "limited to units purchased using someone else's money" as if business purchases are in any way limiting. Businesses purchase the majority of computers like this anyway, so, not that limiting. And overpriced PC clone? Show me a PC the same size as the Mac Pro that's equally as powerful and at the same price, with Thunderbolt 2, 4K support and the whole 9 yards Apple included in the new Pro.

There is clearly demand for the Mac Pro, demand which Apple can't meet with their USA based assembly. Shame.
