Flex 2 Now Available With iOS 7 Support, Lets You Create Your Own iOS Device Mods
Those familiar with Flex
, a popular application for iOS that allows users with no programming knowledge to create and download modifications for their iOS device, will be happy to hear that Flex 2 has just been released. Flex 2 has been re-built from scratch and supports iOS 7, as well as iOS 6 and iOS 5.
Flex 2 offers some major new features and improvements over the previous version that users are sure to love, including editing arguments that functions are passed, and an improved cloud navigation for finding and downloading packages that other people are using.
Flex 2 allows you to basically change existing features of your iOS device by going into existing values and arguments, and editing them so that your iOS device will do different things. You can make user interface adjustments to applications, both third-party and pre-installed, as well as change feature sets of applications.
The application comes with an online cloud feature where you can upload all of your patches for the world to download and use, and you'll also find other people's patches there that you can download if you find them cool.
Since Flex 2 lets you dig into your iOS device's settings and change them around, you should be careful with what you modify. There's always the potential that a novice user will think they know what they're doing and accidentally make a mistake and change something that they didn't mean to. With that said, be cautious – with great power comes great responsibility.
If you want to give Flex 2 a try, it's available in Cydia's BigBoss repository for $3.99, but if you own Flex already, it's only a $1.99 upgrade.
