'No Yahoo!' Hides the Yahoo! Logo in Notification Center, Weather, and Stocks in iOS 7
Granted Yahoo! may be the source of our Weather and Stocks information in iOS, users can probably do without having Yahoo's logo plastered all over the user interfaces of applications, such as the Weather application, Stocks application, and even Notification Center.
A simple new free jailbreak tweak called No Yahoo!
by iOS developer Merlin lets you hide the Yahoo! logo from iOS 7's Weather application, Stocks application, and Notification Center to give the interfaces a cleaner look; shown above is Notification Center both before and after the tweak has been installed. You can see that the "Weather and Stock information provided by Yahoo!" is removed from the interface.
Apart from Notification Center, you can also see how the tweak removes the Yahoo! logo from the Weather and Stocks applications below:
The developer notes that in the Stocks application, long-tapping on the information button on the bottom right side of the application will launch the Yahoo! Finance Web site with more information on the selected stock. This function was usually performed by tapping on the Yahoo! button, which this tweak removes, so moving the functionality to a different button was necessary.
No Yahoo! doesn't have any options to configure. When you install it, it will automatically begin removing Yahoo!'s horrid logo from your iOS application interfaces. If you want to give the tweak a try, it's available for free in Cydia's BigBoss repository.
No Yahoo! is an open source jailbreak tweak, and its source code is available on Github here
