  • Evasi0n 7.x Untether Package in Cydia Updated to Version 0.3 With Security/Improvements

Following the recent update to the evasi0n7 jailbreak tool, bringing it up to version 1.0.4, the evad3rs have updated their evasi0n 7x untether package in Cydia with the same security improvements for all devices and stability improvements for the iPad Mini with retina display to put an end to the boot loops plaguing many users.

The package update, which was released only minutes ago as of this writing, can be found under the Changes tab in the Cydia application, and is illustrated by the red notification badge on the tab. You can then follow the tab to grab the upgrade, which will require a reboot to your device after installing.

If you're jailbroken already, there's no need to re-jailbreak with evasi0n 1.0.4, you can just grab this updated package, and you'll be good to go.

Evasi0n7 is capable of jailbreaking iOS 7.0-iOS 7.1 beta 3 and leaves the user with an untethered jailbreak, meaning that they can power down their device and turn it back on without needing to connect their device to a computer and run software to turn the device back on.

Not happy! I just installed the update and now Safari and Mail stock app keeps crashing before they open. *sigh* most likely gonna have to update and re-jailbreak.

Don't know if it can be the reason, but I have upgraded to iOS7.1 beta 3, jailbreaked fine with 1.0.4 Evasi0n, because Evasi0n is compatible. As I realized that most of my tweaks are not, and maybe will not, be available in 7.1, I performed a DFU install back to 7.0.4. Since then, iCloud back up is deactivated by default and when turning on, keeps crashing my settings app. iMessage and Facetime don't get activated. Performed multiple 7.0.4 clean installs from DFU but keeps happening all the time. iCloud is deactivated, when activating keeps crashing the Settings app and iMessage and Facetime don't activate anymore... Anyone else with this issue??? And this happens WITHOUT jailbreaking.

There's a fix. It has to do with app sync. U have to delete 2 cache files

Google it. As I can't recall where

No problems with 5S and 5, while I got stuck at Apple logo with iPad4. Had to boot it into Safe Mode and reinstall Cydia Substrate and PreferenceLoader to fix it. Thx God I saw a Post on Reddit about this, was already thinking about having to restore...

Why would you do this? I thought you can only go to 7.1 final which may have no JB, once you go up you can't go back…so I think you just killed your JB
