  • 'Share Widget for Control Center' Lets You Tweet or Post From iOS 7's Control Center

For those that use Twitter and/or Facebook to reach out to their friends or followers, there's usually always a demand for a quick way to compose a Tweet or a Post.

A new software combination by iOS developer Jonas Gessner gives you the ability to either compose a Twitter Tweet or Facebook Post right from iOS 7's Control Center. The actual widget being added to Control Center is called Share Widget for Control Center, but it works off of a new tweak foundation for Control Center called CCLoader, also by Jonas.

You can see what the share widget looks like in the screenshot example above. When you tap on either the Facebook or the Twitter button, you'll be given a composition sheet like the one shown where you can enter your Tweet or Post and then send it to the proper social network.

You'll find the options for CCLoader in the Settings application. From here, you can enable or disable any sections in Control Center on demand, including your Share Widget for Control Center. You can also choose to hide or show the separator lines in between the Control Center sections, and choose to dynamically hide or show the music controls depending on whether or not music is playing:

To enable or disable sections in Control Center, you'll just drag them into the "Disabled Sections" section, similarly to how you would enable or disable notifications for specific applications in Notification Center. Anything in the "Enabled Sections" section will appear in Control Center.

The CCLoader extension for Control Center seems to be a very solid way to give yourself greater control over the things that appear in Control Center, and if you're looking for the sharing options from Share Widget for Control Center, then this is certainly the way to go. Both are very well implemented, and looks like they could have been implemented by Apple themselves. If you want to give these two Control Center extensions a try, they're both available for free in Cydia's BigBoss repository.

      love this, but heads up:

If you use Cloaky, disable the Control Center in Cloaky if you want this to work.

Thank you. Wracked my brain for about 5 minutes and reinstalled at least twice before coming back to read. Awesome! Thanks a bunch

I too had serious issues with this tweak on my 4s that I was never able to resolve. I don't have Cloaky installed, but I do have lot's of other tweaks, so I expect others will have issues too.

This unfortunatly messes up the HiddenSettings7 in Control Center.

I disabled hiddensettings. the settings were a big meh for me. guess I'm not a "power user" on that scale.
