'Share Widget for iOS 7' Brings iOS 6-style Social Buttons to Notification Center in iOS 7
With iOS 7's complete redesign of the operating system, Apple did away with the popular social network sharing buttons that iOS 6 introduced to Notification Center. If you want to add them back to your Notification Center in iOS 7, all you will need is a jailbroken iOS 7 device.
A new free add-on for Notification Center dubbed Share Widget for iOS 7
by iOS developer Merlin is now available that will add those popular social network sharing buttons back to Notification Center in iOS 7, as shown above.
Tapping on the Twitter button will open up a Twitter Tweet sheet so you can enter your Tweet and send it off to your Twitter timeline. Tapping on the Facebook button will open up a Facebook Post sheet so you can enter your post content and send it off to your Facebook timeline.
Enabling and disabling the add-on can be done easily, as shown below:
If you want to change the position where the add-on displays in Notification Center, you will need to tap on the edit button at the top right of the Notification Center preferences pane, and you will then be able to drag the add-on anywhere you want to in that list to change its position in Notification Center. Changes you make are immediate – you won't have to respring to save your changes.
You'll also find a preferences pane in the Settings application for the share widget, where you can configure a few options:
You'll be able to enable or disable certain social networks, enable or disable the compact layout option, and choose whether or not you want the buttons to appear on the lock screen for security reasons.
If you want to give this Notification Center add-on a try, it's available for free in Cydia's BigBoss repository.
