'No Switcher Icons' Simplifies the iOS 7 App Switcher By Removing the App Icons
iOS 7 brought with it an all-new card-style multitasking App Switcher interface. In the interface, users can swipe through card previews of open applications, and the application icons are displayed underneath the cards.
The application icons in the iOS 7 App Switcher are a complete mess. While you can only see three cards to a page, Apple decided to squish five application icons to a page – it just looks plain goofy, and doesn't line up nicely. Not to mention, you can probably tell from the card previews alone what the applications are, so you probably don't even need the application icons in the App Switcher to start with.
A new free jailbreak tweak dubbed No Switcher Icons
by iOS developer Vatsal Manot simplifies the App Switcher in iOS 7 by removing the application icons, as shown above.
The App Switcher still functions normally after installing the tweak – you can swipe through the pages and tap on an application card preview to open the application; you will just have the additional benefit of not having the cluttered headache that comes from the application icons.
If you want to give No Switcher Icons a try, it's available for free in Cydia's BigBoss repository. The tweak doesn't have any options to configure.
