'NoUninstall' Prevents Your Apps From Getting Deleted
If you want to keep people from deleting your home screen applications on you when you hand them your iOS device, or just keep yourself from accidentally deleting applications by mistake, then check this out.
A new free jailbreak tweak called NoUninstall
by iOS developer Ryan Burke will prevent applications from being deleted from the home screen either by others, or by mistake.
Once installed, if you hold down on an application icon on the home screen, you'll get into "jiggle" mode, but you won't see any of the 'X' buttons on the application icons for the applications you downloaded from the App Store, effectively keeping you form deleting any applications.
If you choose that you really do want to delete an application, you can head over to the Settings application and visit the NoUninstall preferences pane (shown above) to disable the tweak. Once you do that, you can enter "jiggle" mode again, and the 'X' buttons will appear, allowing you to delete applications.
This tweak is perfect for handing your device over to a friend and being able to keep the peace of mind that they're not going to delete any of your personal data.
If you want to give NoUninstall a try, it's available for free in Cydia's BigBoss repository. The tweak is fully compatible with iOS 7 and both 32 and 64-bit iOS devices.
