  • Best Buy Selling iPhone 5s, iPhone 5c at Discounted Prices for the New Year

Want a new iPhone 5s, or even an iPhone 5c? Before you go and buy one this weekend, you might want to take a look at Best Buys offerings.

Until January 4th, Best Buy is offering the 16GB iPhone 5s in any color for the discounted price of $124.99 on any carrier with a two-year contract. In addition, Best Buy is also offering the 16GB iPhone 5c in any color for free on any carrier with a two year contract and the 32GB iPhone 5c in any color for $79.99 on any carrier with a two-year contract.

9to5Mac notes that the sale is going on both online and in-store. Its always a good idea to wait for small sales like these, as the regular pricing for these devices isn't very cheap.

If you want to take a look at Best Buy's online offerings, you can follow the links below:

All of these devices can be jailbroken using the latest version of evasi0n7.

Will you be taking advantage of the sale to get yourself a new device?

All iPhone deals are carrier locked. No T-Mobile deals. Unlocked iPhones are still bringing their big bucks. $899.00, wow.

I think I will wait until my upgrade, which by then there should be a new iPhone. (Late November 2014 is my upgrade.)

I get my iPhones for free. Well sort of. I have Fido in Toronto and they give you Fido Dollars to get new phones. Works out ok but expensive bills so the least they can do is give me an iPhone upgrade all the time. 5s coming this month maybe, since I read that in May bigger screen iPhone coming out. Because then it's a 2 or 3 year wait for next one.

I stopped paying child support to buy a new iphone, I can't drive without a license, since they pulled it, but can at least call a taxi... Besides the kids each have a PS4 this year... And knowing they have gameplay should mean they're eating good and have internet

      What charges apply

FYI - for those complaining about lack of TMobile deals... at TMobile stores or online you can get an unlocked iPhone 5S for $49 down with 0% financing. (for 16GB; 32GB will cost you $149 upfront, 64GB will cost you $249 upfront). Before XMas, they were offering $0/$99/$199, so maybe if you press hard enough...

Plus, a TMobile plan with unlimited data, text, and minutes will run you about $100/mo including the phone financing. If you have a family plan, you can drive this price down significantly - with 4 lines on my account, my share of the bill including my 5S is only about $70/mo. And if I keep the 5S longer than 23 months, my bill goes down to $45/mo once my equipment payments are done.

Sure beats the $120/mo I was giving AT&T for one phone that only had 900 minutes and could only keep unlimited data under a 'grandfathered' plan that wouldn't allow me to use FaceTime until the iOS 7 release... I'm really a strong supporter for what TMobile's doing in the market.

TMobile iPhones are not unlocked. I tried using a friend of mine AT&T SIM card and it didn't work.

Unlocked usually means for international use. Not in USA use. Not sure if anyone has a true unlock. Please correct me.

Hmm. All retailers of iPhones/iPads match Apple Store prices unless they're giving a little bit off like Best Buy often does. But the retailers never charge 'more' than Apple Store prices. So I'm not sure what you mean? Unless a $50 markup is a new thing… Can't imagine they could compete doing that though.
