Day 4 of Appleís 12 Days of Gifts event was kicked off earlier today, meaning that Apple has removed the Lonely Planet iBook and has now posted a new free item for download. Todayís gift is a popular educational game for children called Toca House. Parents tend to love Toca House because it allows children between the age of 2 and 6 to virtually participate in everyday household chores like doing the dishes, ironing and planting flowers in the garden through various mini games. The App Store description for the game mentions the following:
Toca House is a free play toy for kids that takes them through the everyday chores of a household. Cleaning, washing windows, deliver mail, taking a bath or mopping the floor. All familiar themes for kids that they see everyday, but often canít participate it. But now they can Ė and itís fun too! Play a series of mini-games that take place in and around the house with five super-cute characters. When the sun sets itís time to go to bed, but you can always play another round of course. This makes it perfect for turn-taking or a break to do something else too!
One thing to keep in mind is that the app is only available until the end of the day so itís worth grabbing even if you donít think youíll read it right away. Also note that the downloads are typically different depending on your country or region. This is the first time that the US hasnít been able to participate in Appleís gift-giving event and thus far itís been fairly tame. Still, itís really hard to argue with the price tag of being free.
If you havenít downloaded the ď12 Days of GiftsĒ app already, remember to get the 64.7 MB app for free from the App Store.
