'NCAllOnly' Takes Notification Center Back in Time to the iOS 6 Days With Less Clutter
With iOS 7, one of the major changes was with Notification Center. In iOS 6, Notification Center was really simple, and kept track of all of your notifications in one place. With iOS 7, Apple made Notification Center into a huge mess, which is more like a Google Now-style implementation than an actual hub for notifications. It feels cluttered, and itís harder to follow.
Apple meant well with what they tried to accomplish, but users can just open the Weather application if they want to see the weather, open the Calendar application to see their upcoming events, or open the Stocks application to see the Dow Jones Industrial average. When you open Notification Center, you want to see your notifications.
A new free jailbreak tweak dubbed NCAllOnly
by iOS developer Jonathan Bailey simplifies your iOS 7 Notification Center by removing the Google Now-style "Today" tab, and the missed notifications tab from Notification Center. This way, the only thing you see when you open Notification Center are your current notifications, as shown above.
This is a very nice touch to iOS 7 for those minimalists out there that simply use Notification Center for one thing and don't need all of the extra bells and whistles. NCAllOnly doesn't have any options to configure; to give this tweak a try, you can head over to Cydia right now and grab it from the BigBoss repository for free.
