Evasi0n iOS 7 Untether Package Updated to Version 0.2
On Christmas Eve, the evad3rs released an updated version
of the evasi0n7 jailbreak tool, dubbed version 1.0.1. The updated tool had TaiG removed, and included some features for Saurik, which would be used later for a number of packages in Cydia.
On Friday, the evad3rs have updated the evasi0n 7.x untether package in Cydia to version 0.2 for those that used evasi0n 1.0 to jailbreak their iOS 7 devices. This is the same version of the evasi0n 7.x untether package that is installed with evasi0n7 version 1.0.1, so if you jailbroke your iOS device with evasi0n7 version 1.0.1, you won't need to find and install this update.
The updated package removes the TaiG splash screen and adds features that Saurik can use for updates to some of his packages, including Mobile Substrate. With that being said, it's recommended that everyone that hasn't already updated to the latest version of the evasi0n 7.x untether package updates as soon as possible.
Users will not need to respring or reboot after installing the update for the evasi0n 7.x untether, but it certainly can't hurt to do so. Just remember that by rebooting, you'll need to re-install Mobile Substrate and then respring your device (one way to do this is by re-installing a jailbreak tweak) in order to jump-start Mobile Substrate again. Once Mobile Substrate is officially updated, you won't have to do this anymore. You should avoid third-party Mobile Substrate patches
to preserve the integrity of your stable jailbreak.
