Back in June, an iOS developer found a number of interesting hidden settings in iOS 7, which were hidden from the average user.
If you want to enable these settings for yourself, so that you can start digging into them and customizing your iOS device to your liking, you'll find a new free jailbreak tweak in Cydia dubbed HiddenSettings7 by iOS developer deVbug.
As you can see from the screenshot above, HiddenSettings7 adds a new button to Control Center labeled "SpringBoard Settings." When you tap on that button, you will find yourself in a large Settings panel, shown below:
The Settings panel includes preferences panes for the following: Parallax, Dock, Folders, Zoom Animations, Control Center, Lock Screen, App Slider, CarDisplay, Lock Screen Test Plugin, Screen Fade Animation, Alert Items, Notification Center, Legibility, Wallpaper, and Icon Adaptive Colors. Some of the settings users can access in these hidden preference panes include:
- Allowing nested folders
- Pinching folders to close them
- Blurring the folder icon
- Blurring the folder background
- Blurring Newsstand
- Adjusting the settings of adaptive folder tinting
- Multitasking gestures
- Navigation gestures
- Edge of display swipes
- Corner of display swipes
- Press-and-hold gestures
- Gesture logging
- Icon animations
- Hiding stock applications
- And more
To grab this tweak and begin exploring the hidden settings in iOS 7, you can head over to Cydia right now and find the tweak in Cydia's BigBoss repository.
