  • Angry Birds Rio Goes Free, Gets 26 All-new Levels

On Wednesday, the highly popular Angry Birds Rio game for iOS by Rovio Entertainment Ltd. has been updated, bringing the game up to version 1.8.0.

With the update, Rovio has made the game completely free for everyone. New players can visit the App Store and download either the iPhone/iPod touch version of the game, or even the iPad's HD version of the game for free.

In addition, Rovio has added 26 all new "Rocket Rumble" levels, 6 of which are bonus levels. In addition, Stella is now a new character, and brings the new bubble power to players. New fuses allow players to set up fun new fireworks within levels, and a new rocket bird will be available to players in the bonus levels.

Existing players of Angry Birds Rio will find the update under the Updates tab in the App Store application. Alternatively, players can download the latest version of Angry Birds Rio for iPhone and iPod touch for free via this App Store link, or the latest version of Angry Birds Rio HD for the iPad for free via this App Store link.
