  • Yahoo Weather App Brings its Award-winning Design From the iPhone to the iPad

On Monday, Yahoo! updated its highly-popular Weather application alternative for iOS, bringing the version of the application up to 1.5.

The update gives iPad users the same award-winning interface that iPhone users have had since April of this year. Apple's Weather application in iOS 7 takes a lot of design cues from Yahoo's own Weather application; Yahoo! just happens to be the provider for the weather information in Apple's Weather application as well.

The interface is slightly transparent, offering detailed information about the weather, such as 5-10 day forecast, daylight information, temperature, rain chanes throughout the day, wind speeds, radar, and much more. In the background, underneath all of the transparent information, a humble image serves as the application’s wallpaper.

Existing users of the Yahoo Weather application will find the update under the Updates tab in the App Store application. Alternatively, iPad users that are excited to hop on board and start using the Yahoo Weather application for iOS will find the latest version of Yahoo Weather for free in the App Store via this App Store link.

      Woo, it's about time!

The Weather Channel app has seriously degraded into a confusing mess in recent years. I'm guessing the good programmers they had working on that app have moved onto other companies.

Why is there no weather app? Did they remove it altogether or just on the iPad?

Yes, it's an iPad thing, no weather app!
