  • Facebook Messenger Update for iOS Adds Easier Access to Users' Timelines

It wasn't too long ago that Facebook put out a major update for its Facebook Messenger application for iOS with an all-new interface for iOS 7. The application received yet another update on Tuesday, this time adding improvements to the already-improved application. The update brings the application up to version 3.1.

One of the main improvements under the spotlight is the easier access to friends’ timelines. Now, by simply tapping on someone’s profile picture while you’re messaging them, you will be given the option to be brought to their Facebook timeline where you can view information about the person.

In addition to viewing the person's timeline, users will be given the option to call the person.

Other improvements to the application include a number of bug fixes to improve the application's stability and usability, and improvements to the Japanese translations in the application.

Existing users of the Facebook Messenger application will find the update under the Updates tab in the App Store application. Alternatively, you can download the latest version of Facebook Messenger for free from this App Store link.
