  • Gmail iOS App Updated With Visual Update for iOS 7, New Features

On Thursday, Google updated its popular Gmail e-mail client for iOS, bringing the application up to version 2.7182.

Thursday's update gives Gmail a fresh new look for iOS 7, including the flatter-looking interface and taller navigation bar. Google recently gave its YouTube Capture application for iOS a similar update, which improved the user interface for Apple's latest mobile operating system.

The update also adds a number of features and improvements for iPad users. This includes a new navigation bar that allows the user to easily switch between categories and accounts while in landscape orientation. In addition, messages now appear in full-screen while in portrait mode, new messages can be composed in full-screen mode, and scrolling has been made better.

Existing users of the Gmail application will find the update under the Updates tab in the App Store application. Alternatively, you can download the latest version of Gmail for iOS for free from this App Store link.
