  • Apple Releases iOS 7.0.4 to the Public

After all the rumors pointing to the upcoming release of iOS 7.0.4 to the public, Apple released the new firmware update on Thursday afternoon.

The update is available OTA (over the air) in the Settings application under the Software Update preferences pane, but as usual, users also have the option of connecting their devices to iTunes and checking for updates the old-fashioned way.

The update’s most notable change is fixing a problem that could cause FaceTime calls to fail for users, but Apple notes that the update also includes various bug fixes and improvements to make the mobile operating system more stable.

As usual, if you’re waiting for a jailbreak, wait for one of the prominent hackers to confirm whether or not the new update is jailbreak safe. If you don’t want a jailbreak, then feel free to grab the update. We will keep you updated on the latest.

Like I said before I will never ever go to KitKat or Android because they sux..... It doesn't matter how long it will take those guys to release the final jailbreak to the public I can wait for it. Just be patience because those guys are working hard everyday and night to bring this iOS7 jailbreak to the public.

Everything I've read is that they have exploits that can be used to root iOS...it's just that they have to package it so that it's easy enough for everyone to use. Also, 7.1 is rumored...so they may be waiting to see if the exploits still work in 7.1...if they do, why waste these exploits before that? (Since Apple will patch those holes should the exploits be used before 7.1.)
I'm going to agree with this. I would love an iOS 7 jailbreak, but it wouldn't make sense when 7.1 will surely patch anything evad3rs makes public.

I always add the @ for the newbies that want to follow these people on Twitter. I do it out of convenience for others

After reading this across the net it dawned on me, OTA updates suck, it seems about 30% of the time battery life or worse is affected so I did a DFU causing itunes to redownload 7.0.4 and reinstalled the ios. Now testing it but most times this fixes the battery drain bug

Doing it to my spare 4 now ( old Iphone)

Iphone 4 mostly sitting 3 hours with same wififi and bluetooth on 92%

      both from 100%

at 4:20 here or 5 hours 20 minutes of use of I5 on internet/bluetooth on is now at 83% the I4 is also at 83% non use lol I may restore it again LOL

Update 9:52 here so 10 plus hours Phone on blue tooth and occasional WiFi to check twitter and Email and at 67% percent, I used a Spanish program for 2 hours (Learning Spanish)

The 4 on standby is loosing 3% an hour so thats 33 hours of standby I guess

I did a fresh restore of iOS 7.0.4 today because of this really fantastic bug I encountered. Hopefully the clean install will stop any future 'evil shenanigans!'

That has actually happened to me before on iOS 6. The problem was the music files weren't there but the iPhone thought they were so it would try to play them and would just keep skipping to the next track.
