  • Boost Mobile Begins to sell the iPhone 4S, 5C and 5S

Sprint subsidiary Boost Mobile has recently begun selling the iPhone for the first time in the carrierís history. Customers can choose from the iPhone 4S, the iPhone 5C or the iPhone 5S. Furthermore, it should be pointed out that the iPhone 5C and the iPhone 5S will be able to connect to Sprintís 4G LTE network. Price-wise, the high-end iPhone 5S will cost $549.99 USD for the 16 GB model, $649.99 USD for the 32 GB model and $749.99 USD for the 64 GB model. The iPhone 5C models are $100 off the pricing of the iPhone 5S for their respective models, while the iPhone 4S is the least expensive with a $299 USD price tag for the 16 GB model.

Those of you interested in purchasing an iPhone from Boost Mobile can visit select Boost Mobile stores to purchase the device. Each iPhone model is eligible for the carrierís no-contract $55 Monthly Unlimited plan. With this plan, customers who pay their bill can see their bill reduced to as low as $40 a month for unlimited talk, text and data.

Ah - but is it "true" unlimited data.. Or the "unlimited" variety that StraightTalk sells where they shut off your data for the rest of the month once you hit 2GB. Or the AT&T variety where they throttle you after 5GB on the grandfathered Unlimited.

As I thought. .. Never "true" unlimited for those prices. Only Verizon's old plans (grandfathered) and Sprint have TRUE unlimited.

      Even Verizon throttles after 5GB.

Nope. Not after 2012 (maybe mid-2011). Prior to, yes - they throttled. But, of course, now in true Verizon style, to keep that level of "true" unlimited, you must buy the phones for full retail price. Trying to force everyone into their shared data plans.

I assume all these pre-paid carriers are GSM bands - right?
And you need your phone unlocked to take advantage of them - right?

That one is GSM yes and you would need an unlocked phone. I'm on a Nexus 5 right now no issues

What's their best deal for unlimited everything? And does their 'unlimited data' have a monthly cap before throttling or cut off?

They say it has a 3GB cap and then throttles but I am pretty sure it doesn't from hearing from a few friends. I think pre pay is 49 a month after taxes. Mainly the state of Iowa though and some parts of IL and Nebraska

Yeah it would work by roaming off T-Mobile or AT&T but guessing you'd get shut off with all roaming usage after a while
