  • AT&T Brings its 4G LTE Network to More Locations in the United States

AT&T has fired up its 4G LTE cellular network in another handful of cities across the United States.

The lucky cities that have been given the 4G LTE treatment are:

    • Big Spring , Texas
    • Cumberland, Maryland
    • Des Moines, Iowa
    • Fairbanks, Alaska
    • Galesburg, Illinois
    • Gettysburg, Pennsylvania
    • Macomb, Illinois
    • Madisonville, Kentucky
    • Maysville, Kentucky
    • Peoria, Illinois
    • Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina
    • St. Cloud, Minnesotta
    • St. Joseph, Missouri

Although, 4G LTE offers a theoretical download speed of around 100Mb/s, network congestion can make those figures closer to around 20-60Mb/s for the typical user. AT&T subscribers can also drop down to 4G HSPA+ when 4G LTE isn't in range.

Many of Apple's latest devices, including the iPhone 5s, iPhone 5c, iPhone 5, iPad Mini, iPad Mini with retina display, iPad Air, and iPad with retina display can take advantage of AT&T's ultra-fast 4G LTE network.

Yep they just turned it on here in saint joe mo. And I'm not sure whats up. Running iphone 5 and the fastest I've seen on it is 10mb. Some days you don't even see 4mb. Verizon still has them beat. They get Any where from 25 to 75 down here!

I get about 65 until I reach close to 5gb then they throttle me down to less than 1mb until the billing cycle is over.
