  • Mozilla Launches Firefox 25 to the Public

Mozilla has issued an update to the popular third-party Firefox Web browser, bringing the current version up to version 25.

Firefox 25 brings a number of improvements to the Web browser, as well as few features. Perhaps one of the most notable changes in the Web browser's update is the new support for the Web Audio API. Mozilla demonstrates how the browser can take advantage of Web Audio to provide immersive sound in games via the YouTube video below:

Other improvements to the browser in this version include not sharing the find bar among tabs, making it possible search separately from each open tab, the ability to reset Firefox without clearing your current browsing session, the ability to migrate user settings from another browser if you’re away from Firefox for a few months, additional support for developers, and more.

Mozilla has also fixed a bug that could cause blank thumbnails when opening a new tab.

Absurd! And it keeps getting worse. Me: still at version 14 and happy at it.

Don't know what they did but the memory use footprint is much lower. 25 is much less a memory hog than previous versions. Thx...
