  • Apple Releases iTunes 11.1.2 With OS X Mavericks Support

On Tuesday, Apple released an update for iTunes, version 11.1.2, bringing support for Apple's latest Mac operating system, OS X Mavericks. OS X Mavericks was released earlier today as a free upgrade for Mac users.

In addition to the OS X Mavericks support, Apple also included support for Arabic and Hebrew, as well as a number of bug fixes and performance improvements that should enhance the stability of iTunes overall.

To get this update after updating your machine to OS X Mavericks, you can head over to the Mac App Store’s Updates tab to find the update, or you can go to the  Menu and click on “Software Update” to find the latest version of iTunes and download and install it.

The installation does not require a restart and is recommended for all users.

I would be careful and not update iTunes if you don't have to. Saurik (I believe it was him, if not it was some other prominent figure in the JB community) made a post on the jailbreak subredditsaying that iTunes 11.1 disabled the ability to load custom firmwares, and he encouraged everyone to stay at 11.0.5
