  • Apple Releases iOS 7.0.3

[WARNING: Prospective iOS 7 jailbreakers should avoid 7.0.3 for the time being as we sort out whether or not if closes anything critical to the JB]

Capping off an incredibly busy morning of Apple news, Apple has just released a pretty big iOS bug fix update in the form of iOS 7.0.3.

Inching ever-closer to iOS 7.1, today we get 7.0.3, the build number of which is 11B49.

According to Apple, 7.0.3 accomplishes the following:

    • Adds iCloud Keychain to keep track of your account names, passwords, and credit card numbers across all your approved devices
    • Adds Password Generator so Safari can suggest unique, hard-to-guess passwords for your online accounts
    • Updates lock screen to delay display of "slide to unlock" when Touch ID is in use
    • Adds back the ability to search the web and Wikipedia from Spotlight search
    • Fixes an issue where iMessage failed to send for some users
    • Fixes a bug that could prevent iMessage from activating
    • Improves system stability when using iWork apps
    • Fixes an accelerometer calibration issue
    • Addresses an issue that could cause Siri and VoiceOver to use a lower quality voice
    • Fixes a bug that could allow someone to bypass the Lock screen passcode
    • Enhances the Reduce Motion setting to minimize both motion and animation
    • Fixes an issue that could cause VoiceOver input to be too sensitive
    • Updates the Bold Text setting to also change dial pad text
    • Fixes an issue that could cause supervised devices to become un-supervised when updating software

I updated because of sensor calibration issues. As of now I'm on my 4th iPhone 5S. On 7.0.3 now and the sensor issues are still present.

I do not like the transition effect out of a grouped window and programs , it feels slower since update 7.0.3

Seriously! If Apple can't make a perfect iOS, what makes you think that a jailbreak doesn't create additional bugs/issues.
I have never had issues, been JB since the beginning

JB has A LOT more to offer than crappy iOS7...don't suggest anyone to upgrade based on your lack of JB knowledge...#geesh #get an android lol

JB causes more Bugs ? huh?
Do u even know what you're talking about? You said you've been doing this from the beginning...if that is the case you would know they normally say this & that in the past they have only released JB's on SIGNED firmware...

I'm not even going to bother to answer ur last quote...

No, I understand what he means. A lot of people like myself jailbroke not to do any super crazy stuff, but rather to make little tweaks, have a better task manager, have better instant access to flashlight and settings, etc. There are plenty of people who jailbreak simply for programs like auxo/SBsettings.

IOS7 addressed a lot of these issues so now while jailbreaking would still be awesome, it doesn't feel as "necessary" for myself and a lot of my friends who i've had the same discussion with. There are definitely things I miss, but nothing big enough to prevent me from jumping to 7

I agree with you. I am very content with ios7. I have been into jail breaking since the first iphone as well and I do miss some things that a jb offered but really I could care less about a jb at this point in time.

I've actually been a jail breaker (and have attempted writing programs for JB) since iOS 4. I know a LOT about jail breaking and see no need now. Apple pushed in all but like 2 features that I used to jailbreak for. No reason I can't wait. Unless you're an a****** and pirate then a JB isn't important as much as it used to be.

I have a 5S, and I can confirm, the accelerometer is fixed. It's not perfect, as it is ever so slightly off, but it does reach the Green Background with "0". Although, I have a case on my iPhone. So that might be causing the ever so slight discrepancy. But it's good enough for me now. It was off by 3 degrees before.

What about all the independent Developers and themes? Apple makes it difficult for both.

I'm on the same boat. I've been jailbreaking since the first iPhone. With iOS 7, I don't miss JB as much. Only thing that I would want off the top of my head is native tethering without having to pay AT&T.

But he's right. I'm not that desperate for a jailbreak now. I'm sure that's the case for most people. Remember, jail breakers are a rather small minority.

      Hi.
They don't fix issues on ios 7.0.3 of picture zooming

Apple is not focusing anymore to doing good stuff without problems and bugs....
I wish had a options to change the color keyboard, I missing color keyboard from cydia...
I hate the mode fade in home screen and everywhere is sucks. Like to turn off that.
I dont like the black signal or battery on status bar..
      And many more.

Have been debating jail break on an iPhone 5 and IPad 2. iPhone 5 will likely not need jailbreak so can see going to ios7.x regardless. If I want better custom functions will switch to android platform and a rooted device.

But iPad 2 or newer can really use a mouse. And you can not do that unless jailbroken. So hold off on iPad software upgrades until you jailbreak. Plus most add $100 to the price if jailbroken.

Apple TV 2 jailbreak is almost twice the price of an Apple TV 3 without. And focused on pirate activities maybe a little too much.

Regardless good luck with your choices.
