  • Apple Releases iOS 7.0.3

[WARNING: Prospective iOS 7 jailbreakers should avoid 7.0.3 for the time being as we sort out whether or not if closes anything critical to the JB]

Capping off an incredibly busy morning of Apple news, Apple has just released a pretty big iOS bug fix update in the form of iOS 7.0.3.

Inching ever-closer to iOS 7.1, today we get 7.0.3, the build number of which is 11B49.

According to Apple, 7.0.3 accomplishes the following:

    • Adds iCloud Keychain to keep track of your account names, passwords, and credit card numbers across all your approved devices
    • Adds Password Generator so Safari can suggest unique, hard-to-guess passwords for your online accounts
    • Updates lock screen to delay display of "slide to unlock" when Touch ID is in use
    • Adds back the ability to search the web and Wikipedia from Spotlight search
    • Fixes an issue where iMessage failed to send for some users
    • Fixes a bug that could prevent iMessage from activating
    • Improves system stability when using iWork apps
    • Fixes an accelerometer calibration issue
    • Addresses an issue that could cause Siri and VoiceOver to use a lower quality voice
    • Fixes a bug that could allow someone to bypass the Lock screen passcode
    • Enhances the Reduce Motion setting to minimize both motion and animation
    • Fixes an issue that could cause VoiceOver input to be too sensitive
    • Updates the Bold Text setting to also change dial pad text
    • Fixes an issue that could cause supervised devices to become un-supervised when updating software

      For me....any iOS sucks ***!

If Apple embraced JB somewhat to allow end users to customize their device to how it suited them, I think they would benefit. I personally wouldn't consider moving from an iphone if I had all that freedom but gets a bit tiring every time I upgrade my device waiting on a JB, teathered, unteatheted etc & don't get me wrong, these JB geniuses do amazing work

Apps being left open in the app switcher is by design. They are there in a suspended state so that if you access them again they open instantly. If you close them out completely, then they must reload into memory thus taking more time.

This is one of the top features of iOS. They manage memory great. If you are utilizing an app that needs more memory, then iOS starts shutting down apps automatically.

Maybe if you understood more about how it's supposed to work, you wouldn't think that it sucks!
You don't get it, I understand. If I use 10 apps today then 10 apps are wasting memory. Why do I need cnn running or a game all day taking memory to gain 40 seconds only to be frustrated by how slow my phone has become with less memory? Friend you may like it but not all of us do. Some of us use our phones for work and calculations not just pleasure, games, text and facebook.
I for one want JB now to get back killing all running apps with one button. It helped my 4 run way faster as I expect it would my 5. Why not learn some people think different, thats an Apple motto once

By the way people Apple attacked 3rd party chargers yet again, I could charge on 7.0.2 updated to 7.0.3 and now my chargers on this trip do not charge, Thanks Apple you suck! ( do not tell me BS it saves my phone I have used such chargers since Iphone 2 not one problem its Apple forcing you to buy only what they profit from…greed)

Did you check notifications? app refresh? you may have to back up and do a total restore sometimes upgrading fails

If AirDrop is turned ON (which it is by Default) then that'll really burn your battery

Dang, thanks for that airdrop tip. My battery life wasn't bad to begin with, but I expect it will be even better now.

      Why is AirDrop important?

My iPhone 5's battery was bad. My iPhone would turn off at 40%. Apple replaced the phone even when it was 5 days out of its warranty.

It's makes it a hell of a lot easier to share files with people around you. It's just a nice feature to have.
