Facebook App Updated With Comment Editing, Timeline Icons, Adding Photos to Comments
Last month, we reported
on an upcoming Facebook update that would bring the ability to edit Facebook Status updates from the mobile iOS application. On Tuesday, Facebook released an update for the popular free Facebook application for iOS, bringing the application up to version 6.6. The update adds the anticipated status editing ability, as well as much more.
To edit one of your posts, you can head to one of your statuses, tap on the down-facing arrow button, and you'll find a new "Edit Post" option that you can use to change the current status of your post. This is perfect for accidental typos. You can also view all of your previous changes.
Facebook has also made it possible to add photos to comments from the mobile application, as well as use icons on other people's Timelines, and easily get to your profile's privacy settings by simply tapping on the lock button located by your name in the Main Menu. New features aside, Facebook has also improved the reliability of the application with some bug fixes.
Existing users of the Facebook application will find the update under the Updates tab in the App Store application. Alternatively, you can download the latest version of Facebook for iOS for free from this App Store link
