iPhone 5s Expected to Arrive on China Mobile Next Month
The last thing we need is another China Mobile rumor, but that's what we're getting today.
On Friday, Wedge Partners analyst Jun Zhang made news by reporting that Apple's new flagship iPhone 5s will finally
arrive on China's largest mobile carrier next month.
A November debut on China Mobile will, unquestionably, be huge for Apple. But the rumor mill has let us down before on this front. And at this point, the only way China Mobile news will be taken seriously is when China Mobile directly confirms a coverage launch date.
"We believe China Mobile will launch four iPhone models in November, including 5S and 5C," Zhang wrote today. "The current procurement is very small, about 200K-250K units. We expect China Mobile will launch more (4G) smartphones in 2014."
Zhang reports that the iPhone 5s launch is all part of a more comprehensive China Mobile rollout schedule that will also include device arrivals from Samsung, ZTE, Huawei, Sony, and Coolpad.
