  • Netflix iOS App Updated With HD and AirPlay Streaming Support for iOS 7

On Thursday, the popular Netflix movie-streaming application for iOS has been updated to version 5.0 with support for Apple’s latest iOS 7 operating system.

Specifically, Netflix notes that Netflix HD is now available for iOS 7, as well as AirPlay streaming for iOS 7 (as long as AirPlay mirroring is disabled). In addition, playback optimizations have been added to help ensure smooth video playback on even some less-than-perfect wireless networks.

While the Netflix application is free in the App Store for all users, you will still need to subscribe to the service for $7.99 per month to be able to use the application to watch movies from anywhere. A free trial is available if you want to give it a try before you pay.

Existing users of the Netflix application will find the update in the Updates tab of the App Store. Alternatively, you can download the latest version of the Netflix application from the App Store for free from this App Store link.
