  • 'Chameleon' Will Theme Your Device With a Color of Your Choice

For those that like making their iOS devices look different than everyone else’s, a new free jailbreak tweak dubbed Chameleon by iOS developer Vatsal Manot may be worth taking a look at.

As the name implies, the tweak has a lot to do with color. The tweak basically gives the user the ability to give their iOS device a colored aura of their choice, as shown above. The color effect can be noticed on the home screen, as well as on the lock screen.

The colored aura surrounds application icons, the page dots, the dock, the wallpaper, the status bar, and more.

Users will be able to configure the tweak from the Settings application via the Chameleon preferences pane:

Through the preferences pane, the user can configure the color that they want their iOS device to be themed with. The color choices include:

    • Black
    • Dark gray
    • Light gray
    • White
    • Gray
    • Red
    • Green
    • Blue
    • Cyan
    • Yellow
    • Magenta
    • Orange
    • Purple
    • Brown
    • Clear

Note: when you change a color, your device will respring for you automatically, and the color change will take effect.

Chameleon offers a really basic form of visual customization, but nonetheless, the effects sure do grab the attention of your eyes. If you want to give the tweak a try, it’s available for free in Cydia’s BigBoss repository.
